BUILSA: New fire station commissioned As part of the Better Ghana Agenda set by the ruling National Democratic (NDC) government, the Builsa District Assembly in the Upper East Region has built a new office complex for the district fire service in Sandema.
The Builsa district is one of the nine (9) districts of the Upper East Region of Ghana. It is bounded on the North and East by the Kassena-Nankana District; on the west by the Sissala District and on the South by the West Mamprusi District and part of Kassena-Nankana District.
With a total land area of 2,220 square kilometres, the district accounts for over a quarter of the total land area of the Upper East Region thereby making it the largest district in the Region.
